Can i run my diesel car on filtered grease without a fuel conversion kit?

i bought a diesel car and i wanted to know if it was possible to run it on used vegetable oil. i saw it on mythbuserters but i don't want my car to explode on me or something

  1. I would say NO but check your owners manual and do more serious investigation into it,last thing you want is to void any warranty and/or ruin the motor


  2. Dont get those BS conversion kits....

    Get a diesel fuel additive..

    Go to dieselsecret.com and read that stuff... Cheaper and more economical.

  3. No. Grease contans glycerine, which would gum things up fairly quickly.

  4. yes because on a normal gas car the piston in the motor doesnt go up as high and doesnt compress the fuel harder. But on a diesle car the piston goes all the way up and compresses what ever you are using  tighter so It would work

  5. I hope you bought a pre 1985 Mercedes diesel.The IDI diesel is the best choice.I built my 2 tank conversion for $320.
