2GB DDR400 <---------------- i know its outdated but nevermind that.

nVidia 6600GT 128MB GDDR3 <-------------- not too good but not too bad.

Intel Pentium 4 2.40Ghz @ 3.20Ghz <----- i know vista will run better on dual core but i don't really care that.

i'll be running a vista home premium.

  1. It should since you you have 2GB.

But you with your processor I would really just stick to xp. Besides Vista isn't that good.

  2. yes vista will run, but only if you do not use your computer for any other applications, like web surfing, email, office.. etc....

if you want to run something other than just the operating system, i would suggest loading xp,

my computer is just about double those specs, and i'm still running xp, I bought my dell right before vista came out, it came with xp, and a free upgrade for vista, I ran vista for less than a month, it turned a fast pc into a dog....

some of the new machines probably handle vista a lot better, and vista will run even better a year from now with newer machines...

but with those specs just stick to what you know will work.

  3. Don't think so xp will run better on those specs
