  1. No! NO!  No!You can't . It won't fit. Good luck.


  2. No,it won't fit plus it won't work without a ballast.

  3. NO, they are not the same type of lamp and the HID will not work.

  4. These other answers are not quite correct. Yes you can! They do make a self ballasted metal halide that comes in a Med base(Standard). A good quality lighting store should be able to get you one.
