  1. So it seems we are all asking the same question! Sadly, there is one answer. NO :(

You will only be able to see the eclipse if you live in northern Maine or on the eastern coast, and it will only be visible for about 1 minute for those folks! It stinks, but it's true. Hopefully next time it can be seen from everywhere in the USA!

    Keep your fingers crossed!

  2. Not likely....this link is where you would see the eclipse........

  3. You will probably be able to see the partial eclipse.  It is suposed to start at 9:18 PM GMT and is supposed to be visible from the Eastern US.

  4. Hey, I'm from Georgia! I'm in Rincon, Georgia. It's outside of Savannah, that dirty old city..

  5. 1 Aug 2008 - Total Solar Eclipse

(Saros 126, umbral mag. 1.039, max. eclipse 10:21 UT

total: 09:21:07 UT to 11:21:28 UT)

The track -- 237 km wide at maximum -- begins in north Canada, passes near the North Pole, and into northern Russia. It then runs south-east into China. It is visible as a partial eclipse in Britain, though will not be dramatic.

The maximum duration is 2 minutes 27 seconds, and the path width at maximum is 237 kilometers.

  6. Not even close to Georgia.  It will be visible in northern Canada pretty much around the Arctic circle, Greenland and northern Europe.
