Can i see the solor eclipes on the first?

The eclipse won't be visible from New York. You will have to wait until 2013 for the next solar eclipse there. There is a map showing where the August 1st eclipse can be seen at http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/SEpubs/2008...

since it is a solar eclips you will not need to protect you're eyes.  

1. controll any and every pet you have because there's no telling how they will act.

2.it will be pretty dark for about 4 minutes.

3. since you live in a crowded town you may not want to go outside because there's no telling what kind of wacko's are out there.
