  1. The PSAT is what schools have you take to prepare you for the SAT so you know what to expect as far as intelligence level, style... etc. It's not an official rating of your intelligence though. The only scores that colleges will accept these days are SATs and ACTs. Some take both, some take one or the other. You'll have to check with your school's website. But you can't send the PSAT.

  2. no, the PSAT is the "practice" SAT. it basically means nothing to a university. they want the actual SAT scores only. i say retake the test. testers normally do better their second time around.

  3. No, your SAT score is the one that colleges look at. You could take the SAT again and you'd probably get a better score. If not, the ACTs might be easier. Most colleges want you to send either score!

  4. no because PSATs are a little easier than the real thing, which explains your score

  5. Unfortunately not. The PSAT is a practice test and only slightly related to the SAT in terms of what it predicts about a student's aptitude (as evident with your scores) and their ability to utilize cognative skills. Take it again and this time study harder for it.

  6. nah, the psat is a dumbed down version of the sat, which is a dumbed down version of a standardized test from another country for 6th graders

  7. Nope, you can retake your SAT if you would like.
