  1. What are pork scratchings?   (or shouldn't I ask?  lol)

When you ship through post office you can ship food.  They will ask you at the counter if it is perishable.  If it's a food that will spoil easily, you need to ship the fastest way possible and add one or two gel ice blocks in the package.

  2. should be fine, my mum got send these peanut butter nut things from america and we got them ok.

  3. As long as you package them well should be no probs.. If they ask what it is don't mention anything to do with food just in case cos they might not allow you to send it. Good luck

  4. It should be allowed if it is sent by surface mail.

For the benefit of Funchy, pork scratchings are the bits of the pig not used in other products. Best not to go into any further detail than that.  (Skin with a bit of fat).

There are companies which specialise in sending food abroad to ex-pats. As long as the food is cooked and packaged to industry standards, I can't see a problem.

    Here's an ex-pat shop which sells scratchin's

  5. As an animal product you can take some in for your own consumption.  In the mail it will be destroyed if the dogs find it.

otherwise you need the import/export docs.

  6. if it is store packaged  its ok but you can not send meat products that you pack yourself.............you can not bring meat in to canada
