  1. no beardies don't need lights when they are sleeping.  My beardie goes to bed at about nine so i would turn of its light before 1:00 am.  They probably go to bed when the sun goes down so thats probably a good time to turn the light of.  But if you think your beardies scared of the dark you could have a black light on or something.

  2. the one that looks like a black light needs to be on while the beardie is sleeping....this will keep the cage temperature from dropping too low.

  3. My dragon is 3 years old and i've always had the heat lamp on the same temp day and night and its never done him any harm!Besides he gets scared in the dark!Lol!

  4. You can shut the lights off at night as long as the room temp doesn't get below 64 (aprox). We keep an undertank mat on 24/7 year round. The UVB light is usually on a timer so its on 14 hours a day, 12 hours a day during the winter. We used to keep a red light on at night instead, but the beardie seems to sleep better with the undertank heater. Good luck with him, beardies are wonderful.

  5. Turn off all the lights. They don't need any heat lamps during the night.

  6. Since your temps are way too high at night, yes turn the lights off. But if your tank drops below 70, 65 at the absolute min, I would get a lower wattage bulb to keep on at night.  If your temps are over 100 at night, they must be incredibly high during the day.  One end- the basking area needs to be up to 100 and the rest of the tank should be closer to 80-85, if you aren't getting a difference in temps at different ends of the tank you could be slowly overheating your dragon, which can kill it.  Please try to adjust the temps, use different wattage if necessary, if he can't cool off it's not a good thing.  Image you going from a temp of 120 in hot day light just to get inside your house and it still being over 90, do you feel any relief? Image that magnified for the dragon because they use the temp around them to warm up or cool off.
