Can i snowboard in L.A.? And also, how long does it take to get to the best mountain for snowboarding or skiing from L.A.?

There is no snow in LA but there are some close resorts. The closest is Big Bear which will take almost 2 hours, which really isn't very far. This is a great, small mountain for learning freestlye riding. If you are looking for an overnight snowboard trip, Mammoth Mountain is about 5 hours northeast and is one of the biggest and best on the continent.

Sorry there is no skiing/snowboarding in L.A. Utah has great skiing though.
