Can i spary wd 40 in my clutch drum on my mini bike its making noise so i thought it might help can i?

this is my clutch drum its i picture of it on the website http://img.auctiva.com/imgdata/1/8/8/0/0/4/webimg/61215537_o.jpg can i spary wd 40 in it because its making noise and i think it need lub i put chain lub in my other one and it broke it soo but this is wd 40 but i dont know i have a gp mx3 pocketbike

  1. No don't put any lube in the drum of a clutch.  You'll just have to get used to the noise.


  2. No.  Clutch are like brakes.  they need friction to work. WD40 lowers friction.

  3. WD40 is not a lubricant. Read the can. it is a parts cleaner. it loosens debris and other crud from metal parts. Because parts move more freely without the debris, people think it's a lube. Not so.
