  1. it doesnt matter how tall u are.

it matters how high u can jump.

i know people who are really tall and still cant reach the offiicial girls vball net.

  2. I agree with most all the answers ,the key is jumping. What I do is I take the volleyball and put a mark on the wall and try to hit the ball above that line and jump sideways hitting the wall with the ball. Strech your leg muscles and that will improve your jump and your speed. Another idea is put a line on the floor and put your feet together and jump left and right over the line ( to make it a bigger challenge hold the ball above your head). Even simply jump rope a lot. =] good luck

  3. depends how high you can jump.

    im really short.

and i can jump really high.

so just keep practice an aproach and you'll get better at jumping.

  4. it doesnt matter how tall you are or how much you weigh. you should learn the approach and then practice like in a doorway, see how far up the wall you get and when you hit, snap your wrist down and try to get on top of the ball.

you just need to be able to jump high. height may help but it doesnt really matter

  5. Of course you can spike it down, I'm 5-3 semi-okay hops and i can get over the net so if you're any of a good athlete you should have no problem

  6. i'm really short i have to practice jumping high and my approach

  7. Like other are saying, it doesn't matter how tall or how much you weigh, what matters is how high you can jump.

I'm 5'2, and I am one of the only girls in my gym class (we're using the official net for boys for gym class) that can actually sucessfully spike the Volleyball over the net, and judging my height to some of the boys that are taller than me, that can not spike the ball over the net, I am about 4 inches shorter than one of the boys that can't spike over.

Just aim where you're going at, and you'll do good!

    Good luck!

  8. You can spike on any height net. Your setter must be able to get you the proper set. If you jump very well, your set should be further away from the net. Not only will you be to get a better spike, there probably won't be any blockers up to bother you.
