Can i stand in the doubles alley during my serve?

i've been playing tennis for 3 years now, and i see some people on other teams serving from where the alley in a doubles match. is that legal?

i think it would be foot fault. you're supposed to serve from behind the baseline. but check the regulations first. also if it's okay for your opponent, i supposed it's okay then. hope it helps :)

u can stand on the doubles alley when u are playing doubles

yes, you can stand anywhere you like but, your serve may not be considered good... foot fault most likely... or court fault if there is a term to say it...

Yes, but only in doubles, not in singles

only doubles, cause its part of the playing field now. if in singles, they gotta be within the area of the singles court
