  1. of course just put your mind into it and you can do anything its very possible to be come a  chess master even if u just started

  2. ya,but u must try ur best

    GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!

  3. Very unlikely. Chess masters have to put in a huge amount of hard work to get there. Even Bobby Fischer was a chess workaholic when he was young. It was all he did. I don't think there are enough hours in 3 years for you to do it, especially if you have a life. Those young GMs you see today have been working at chess solidly since they were in primary school. Their coaching regimes would astound you.

    Still, prove me wrong.

  4. In his book "Lasker's Manual of Chess" Emanuel Lasker (second world chess champion) explained how anyone of average intelligence could become a chess master.  It is true that learning comes easier when you are young but I have a friend who became a chess master in his 40's.  It will take some effort but if you would like a plan to study and become better go to this link

    http://www.chessville.com/

find the "Instruction" tab near the top, then scroll down to "The Path to Improvement" the article there will tell you how to study chess effectively and give you the titles to all the books you would need to study and the order to study them in etc.

be sure to bookmark this site it is one of the very best chess sites on the web and if you come to love chess as I do you will be returning to it often.

  5. Hi,

It usually takes about 10 years to become a GM of traditional western chess.  See 'COMPUTER' on my web page below?  I hope this is helpful for you.

    Yours,

    Chesmayne.

  6. It's very unlikely, but not impossible if you go through a strict training regiment. Howard Staunton was didn't really play competetively until he was like 26, and he was a world champion. Victor Ciocâltea didn't begin until 21. Both earned the title of GM, the latter when he was 46 or 47.

However, I think 3 years may be a bit too lofty of a goal.

  7. Yes, just play as much as you can and with very challenging people.

  8. master? sure.. that's around 2200ish.. and anyone with time and dedication should be able to reach that..  alas grandmaster is probably out of reach for you..

  9. No pro? Everyone seems to tell u that.

Correct nothing is impossible, but u really need to put in d**n lot of hard work.

So always believe in: IF THERE IS A WILL, THERE IS A WAY!!!

    GOOD LUCK!!
