Can i still get piercings?

Question

When i was seven i got my earpierced by my dads girlfriend who had a licence after 6 weeks it went swolen up behind my ear and look like a marble. when i was 11 i got it done a claries accsesories and it was fine after 7 weeks i tried changing them one went in fyne but the other was hard to get in and stung i dont think that there was a marble shape beind my ear but it wouldnt go through my mum tried repircing the back of it it stung like mad and my mum said well u mum be allergic to them so i havent got any now but would really fancy having my ears pierced and nose done now i am thirteen. please help me and tell me your expiriences and am i allergic or not also why wouldnt my earing go in.

Hi there, this happened to me to. But not because i was allergic its becuase i couldn't wear silver/gold in one ear lol, go back to claires to get it done. Now i don't wear any earings unless i am going out, and only wear when im dressing up other wise they irritate. If you wear them everynow and then they should be ok. You could be allergic to the metal that the earrings are made of. Try wearing hypoallergenic earrings. And be sure to clean the piercing properly daily.

hey this happened to me but third time lucky! the first two times weren't good but now i got ears pierced twice, the top of my ear done, my tongue done and my belly button so don't think its because i was allergic. how long has it been since the last time though make sure its had time to heal properly! x

hiya.i got my ears pierced when i was 7 and the earring went through my ear so i had to take it out then i got it done when i was about 10 and a bubble happened at the back of my ear like ours so i took it out then i got it done again when i was 12 and my ears started closing in around the earring so the earring was like stuck in my ear so i had to pull it out and it really hurt.i really wanted to have my ears pierced and for them to work.everytime i got them pierced i put on all the stuff the piercer said to but it didnt make a difference so i thought i was ellergic to cheep earrings so my god mother bougt me really deer earings for my birthday and i was going to go in to a piercer and get them pierced with them earrings but instead i did them myself with no pain relieve i just picked up the earing and stuck it though my ear it didnt hurt surprizeingly then 3 days later i changed the earring and there wasnt a bother with them.

now i have my ears pierced and my bellybuton pierced and i might go and get another ear piercing as a friendship one with my friend.im 14 now.

i woul recommend getting your ears pierced by a needle not by a gun.clairs pierce then my guns.i got my bellybuton pierced by a needle.it will hurt a little more but should work and stops infection as you can sterolize the needle before you pierce it.its deerer to but i say its worth it.

I think you were just unlucky both times you got your ears pierced.

I'm sure you can get them pierced again, but go to a proper piercer instead of somehwere like Claires.

I had the marble problem when I pierced my own ear cartlidge - but I just repierced it from the other side and it's been okay for what two years now (:

Your earring probably wouldn't go in because the hole at the back started to narrow once you took the earring out to change it, some people heal faster than others you see.

The same thing happened after I pierced my friend's ears, when she went to change it later, the back hole started to close up and she could only get the earring halfway through...

I don't think you should get your nose pierced until you are at least 15 or 16 though. Nose piercings on 12 - 14 year olds look kinda trashy.

Maybe you are allergic, that is why you should never get piercings at places like Claires, as they use cheap earrings etc.

Get something done at a proper piercer where they use titanium.

If you go anywhere it should be to a professional piercer. The truth is it sounds like you've got allergies to metals. This is hard to predict b/c i have them too, you never know when something will act up you could wear it for weeks/months before you are allergic. It's annoying but i do have my belly pierced and its been successful all the other i let heal b/c they gave me trouble. You should avoid piercing but if you must you'll need to baby it/ take perfect care of it and use quality body jewelery.

Well yes, you may be allergic to the type of metal in your ear. What you should do is when you get your ears pierced, leave them in longer than the people who pierce your ears recommend. The reason why your ears got infected was probably bcoz you shoudl have left them in longer. I've got my Nose and Ears Pierced. I got my Nose pierced when I was 13. I had a few problems with it. One time it came out and it wouldn't go back in. I then got my Nose pierced when I was 15 and it has been fine since. I got told that if you change your earings/Nose rings and they don't go in, its because you are nervous. When changing your earings try and be as calm as possible. It should work. Try It! Th ebst place to get your Nose/Ears pierced is a Chemist. Also make sure you clean them eveyday. Also if you want to get your nose pierced your have to go with an adult bcoz you are under 16. But you should get it done. It looks good!

it could be that you're allergic, or that it didn't heal fully.

after the piercing every day it should be washed with alcohol. i used a bottle of Ear Care to make sure it didn't get infected or anything, and waited as long as they told me to wait before taking out the earrings to replace them

get your ears pierced with gold or titanium, its almost uncertain you can be allergic to them, and dont get your nose done yet.. wait til your atleast 15, otherwise it can look trashy =]
