  1. go for it  believe in it have faith and hope it only depends in your will hun if there is a will there is a way lol keep it up good luck and alot of fun

  2. Kenny gave good advice ....

However keep in mind that there are several swimmers who are going to olympic trials and have records that are much older. One woman is 35. That is highly unusual but it can be done. Just give it your all and see where you end up. It could happen.

  3. sorry but it is too late

  4. Different places have different standards. For instances, at my old high school I barely made my relays. In college I'm setting records as a freshman. It's all about where you are. Here are some general times you should be going by the time you get out of highschool if you want to go pro. Times are in short course yards.

    50 free - 23.00

    100 free - 51.00-52.00

    200 free - 1.49.00

    500 free 4.45.00

    100 back - 54.00

    100 breast - 1.02.00

    100 fly - 55.00

If you make those times, you MIGHT be CONSIDERED to go pro. Though more realistically, you'll end up getting a decent scholarship for college and then never use it again. Hope this helps, and sorry to crush your dreams if your nowhere close. I know a professional swimmer - placed top 10 at olympic time trials. He's from my old highschool and was on my relay with me. For the past 10 years he's put in 4-5 hours of work 6 days a week, never missed a day. Usually worked on sunday too. Just for sh**s and giggles, here's his best times:

    50 free - 19.40

    100 free - 43.99

    100 breast - 53.11

    100 fly - 47.85

He was going 20.40 in highschool. Made my 21 point look slow.

But yeah, the pros have put in more time into their sport than most people can even comprehend. I'm not saying you could never go pro, I haven't seen your times, but the trends show that the pros have lived and breathed nothing but swimming since they were at least in middleschool.

  5. well a lot of olympians have been in serious training since like four years old and i believe most start competing seriously around nineteen.  the odds are against you but you can do it!
