  1. keep playing. I play string bass and the only way i get better is by practicing every day. By practicing it will help you on where to put your fingers, and also reading the music in general. and it doesn't matter what grade you're in, some people are slow learners. and if you really want to improve your skills, take private lessions. I hope this helps. :)

  2. Just keep practicing. In music, there is ALWAYS room to improve.

  3. Start playing and play a little bit everyday. If you get a little board with what you're playing then go and pick out some songs that you're really interested in. Sometimes it helps you to stay motivated if you're playing stuff that you enjoy.

  4. Just keep practicing Grade 5 songs, particularly ones that you used to play before, and Grade 5 scales. Play the scales at different speeds,  and rhythms to build up your finger muscles. Keep doing that, then when you think you're ready, move on to harder pieces, around grade 6/7 standard. Just do it gradually, you can't immediately jump onto a horse once you've fallen off. It takes time, and practice. Keep to a rota, about one hour a day? Depends how busy you are lol. As long as it's regular, and at the same time every day :]

    Good luck :]

  5. you should start practicing more so that you get better thats what happened to me....just practice

  6. Well if you stop playing an instrument for a while of course you're going to get worse, just keep practicing. Maybe piano isn't right for you. Try some other instruments.

  7. Keep on practicing! The more and more you do, the better you will get! Never give up on it! Before you know it you will be 3 times better then you ever think you will be!

  8. You keep playing and practicing.  Learn techniques and scales to advance your skill level.  You will get better if you practice regularly and honestly.

  9. I know that over the summer, I usually don't touch my instrument at all, so the last few weeks of break, I usually go back through my beginner book and practice basics and fundamentals. This helps alot because you usually forget the things that the music is based on when you stop playing for so long.
