  1. go to the police, seek legal advice.

there are other people in your shoes who can help you

  2. You should ask a lawyer. There may be a statute of limitations. Meaning if the crime happened too long ago, he may not be prosecuted. Sorry that happened to you. Someone that would do that to a child should be punished severely.

  3. you bet ye you can there is no statue of limitations on crimes involving child sexual abuse.

  4. you may be able to do a civil law suit against him seek a lawyer for that

  5. Statutes of limitations might apply, but I would still go to your local police department (particularly if they have a 'special victims unit' or a 'cold case' unit). Even if you can't press charges, you might be able to help police solve other more recent rape cases (which might have been committed by the same man). Rapists rarely reserve their crimes for one victim. Chance are good that he has continued to rape  for the past twenty five years. Your going forward could save some future victims.     -RKO-  08/07/08

  6. I dont know if you can or can not but you really need to do something to get the word out about what kind of person this man is. In the least tell EVERYONE he knows what he did to you. Tell his wife(if he has one) tell his kids, tell his boss, tell everyone.

If that man did that to you you can be certain that he is still doing the same thing to other little girls and will continue until the day he dies or the day he is locked away in prison.

Pedophiles NEVER stop molesting kids. There is no cure.

  7. I would contact the authorities (s*x crimes unit?) in the city you lived in where the incident happened and go from there.  I am sure they would like to know about it as he most certainly he had other victims.    If you have second thoughts about going through with it, tell yourself you might be saving some other girl from having to go through what you went through.

Did you know you can also sue him in civil court?   A friend of mine was raped by her father and she sued him in court and won!

    God Bless!    :-)
