Can i still renew my california id if im out of the country?

yes, I was in Germany and renewed through the DMV website, but I don't know if that was a Military exception.  Try going to the web site, it will tell you.

what sort of id? if is has a picture? you usually cannot,in the military? yes you do,i wished you had mentionned which sort of id you want to renew......

If you are on military or government orders you can get a form from the embassy that will allow you to renew by mail.  If you are not on orders then you will need to check with the state to see if you can renew by mail.
