Can i still send schools old letter of recommendation

Question

I am applying to some new schools and need to send letters of recommendation. My latest employer wrote some but frankly I dont like them. They talk up my ability to do quarterly taxes but not my quality or character. I dont think a school needs to hear my job skills. I have a letter written by an old boss (who i cant locate) in 2006. Its my favorite letter of rec. of all time. The only problem is that the date is on it. What can I do? Just send it anyway?

Why don't you scan it onto your computer and erase the date? Or just send it away saying what it says. You shouldn't lie. That note was written in 2006, so therefore they should be able to tell it was written in

2006. Or tell your boss now to write the exact same thing on the letter ( The letter isn't copywright so it isn't fraud) and sign that days date.
