I recently bought a new ipod nano (3rd generation) but itunes says that its corrupt and that my mac version (10.3.9) is too low for the ipod and that i need a mac version of 10.4.9 and over. Is there anyway i can use my ipod nano? Or no hope in h**l?!

Any advice will be aprreciated!

  1. It's kind of a pain in the ***, but if you know someone with that version of OSX then you could bring your music over there and use their computer. Also, anyone who has Windows XP or Vista can also sync your ipod for you. The big pain in the *** for this is that you have to move your music to that other computer which will require a thumb drive or external drive with your music on it that you can carry over to that other computer every time you want to add music. You'll also need that other computer for updates. If that doesn't sound like a very good scenario and having an extra $129 for OS 10.5 doesn't seem likely either then you'll want to return it and get an older iPod.
