Can i store my laptop vertically in my rucksack all the time?

Will it be ok or is it best to take it out and store it flat?

    Your hard disk is like a cupboard, all the software and the operating system will be shifted to one side !!!


  2. Well yes of course you can. It can't be any different if the case has got a handle on it it's carried like a brief case. And again if you put it in a proper laptop carrying case it's still vertical.

    So if you can do that normally what's the difference in storing it like it?

    Don't take any notice of the smarty pants answers they are winding you up!

    If it's turned on though it's maybe not a good idea to leave it like that for too long cause it can over heat. If you need to leave your laptop switched on for a long time, best sitting it out on a hard flat surface, so the fans aren't blocked.

  5. You had best store it flat because all the bits inside will slide down to one end,and when you come to use it again all your stored files will be all jumbled up  and it will take a long long time in sorting them out again I hope this has helped you :))
