  1. Yes you should be able to go to school in the U.S., but you need to find a good program and a way to pay for it.

The best way to get into a university in the USA is to first apply there and then apply for scholarships to help you pay for tuition.

Here are some sites that list the best USA universities to study in for international students:

Here's a site that gives you advice on how to apply to colleges in the USA:

To help you pay for college you can apply for scholarships. Scholarships are free sources of money that you don't have to pay back, and they cover your tuition. You can read about them here:

Here are sites that offer scholarships to international students:

    Good luck!

  2. Unfortunately, $10K doesn't go very far in the US, especially for education where "out-of-state" students pay higher tuition--you might pay $20K or more for only one year of school. You'll probably need to find a scholarship or grant to help pay for a degree. Below is a link for more info on college costs.

  3. Working in the United States as an international student will barely cover part of your living expenses, let alone tutition as well since international students are only permitted to work 20 hours per week during semesters and 40 hours per week during holidays and all employment must be carried out on-campus, so working in a restuarant, bar or anything like that is not permitted.

Most on-campus jobs are minimum wage only, so like I said, you will only be able to cover partial living expenses with that you will earn in a year.

Tuition and living expenses in the United States does vary by which school you attend, which state and city you live in and which area  you decide to rent in. But tuition and living expenses will range between US$18,000 - US$45,000 per year!

So $10,000 will not get you very far at all. I would look into attending a community college for two-years before transfering to a 4-year school to complete your bachelors degree. I would also look into student and/or personal loans in your own country and see if anything aditional funding is available to you because $10,000 will not last you a year in the U.S. when you are paying for both tutition and living expenses.

  4. IF you work then i think everything would be all right, and if you are really good at studying, then you could get scholarship from some university.

    Good Luck!

  5. what do you mean by "good" ? look at the university's scholarship web page for international students. Then contact them. i go to a prestigious university. it costs a fortune and unfortunately the school dosnt really prioritize undergrads..esp international undergrads. a lot of the aid at my school go to lower income domestic students and grad students.  We have very limited aid for internationals. nothing is impossible but even if you work, full time, if you went to a place like my school, you still wouldnt be able to afford it. many students at my school can barely afford it, even with the financial aid. its sad but if you want to go to a good, prestigious school with a big name, then itll be very hard to get much aid. too many people want to attend who can pay. however, if you go to a decent school, that isnt very well known, it may be a lot easier. remember, just because a school isnt famous or prestigious, doesnt mean they arent a good school.

  6. If you work while you are here, you can easily afford to try for a degree.  I am going to a quite expensive private school that was 9,000 american dollars for the 1st half of the year.  I performed so well in my classes that they have me on a scholarship now and i pay for nothing!
