I really like music

and i think music production is something i might enjoy

but i have never done anything like that

i dont even do senior music at school

I play drums and bass guitar (mediocrely)

would it be way too hard to try and do a music production course/degree at uni?

If not, what sort of degrees are there?

(In Qld btw)

  1. The people who can answer that are at uni.

A phone call or letter, You might even be able to do it over the net.

  2. Yes, you should be able to - you will probably need to be able to read music at the least, but other than that, degree courses which are not things taught in high schools usually start at the basics. Rather than asking here, you really need to order prospectuses from universities you are interested in and see what they say about the course, as they will explain what kind of prior knowledge you will need to study it (which may well vary from university to university). Even better, once you have this information, contact a course tutor to discuss your concerns. I'm sure they will be happy to help.

    Best of luck!
