  1. www.libragirl.com.au can help with that and you CAN swim while having discharge

  2. If you have any type of flow even light discharge during your menstruation you should wear a tampon in the pool.

If I could I would also suggest you sample a different brand of tampon.  Most of them have the same soft plastic applicator, so the concern should really be about absorption, especially if you're a swimmer. Try Kotex Regular or better yet the Super. Don't feel intimidated.  The super is more like a regular and the regular is like a small (this is the perfect size for those light discharge days). They also have a Super Plus, which is of course like a plus. All of that actually describes how much cotton is packed inside for the most effective absorbency level.  For swimming on your heaviest days, I say at least go with the Super (large). Kotex has the gentle glide (they call them satin soft) applicators.  They have a request for free sample pack on their website (see their link in my sources). I received one, because I shop at CVS and it was a nice surprise. A coupon was also included.  The way the Kotex open in comparison to the Platex makes the absorption and coverage more precise and I find there are less leaks.

As far as how to use it, you will need to figure out a position that is comfortable for you sitting, standing with knees bent, standing with a leg propped up, etc. It all depends on the tilt of your pelvis and what position will feel most comfortable. Try them all or find something in between that works for you.

The website that has been posted is a good instructional site and I have listed a couple of others.

Good luck with your swim team! ~J~

  3. you can go it bare back or without a tampon, the chlorine in the pool water will  treat you discharge.....if you have you periods, use a tampon!!!

  4. I do not understand why you are trying to use a tampon when you are not having your period?  Or am I to old to understand this one LOL

If you are having mucus discharge you really do not need to wear a tampon-a pad should be good enough.

Also if you are having a discharge you can go ahead and swim-a tampon is really not necessary.

A young women who has started her period should at least have a regular bloody period for a year before she start to use tampons on a regular basis-although there are exception to the rule, such as the swimming team. I am sure your mom would be a great help to you- do not be afraid to ask her-that is what she is there for.

  5. Use a tampon if you can get it in. If you can't explore down there. once you have stuck a finger in there or a cucumber or anything it will be easy to spot the v****a.

  6. not in my pool

    :D

  7. you can with discharge. and playtex gentle glide is the best thats what I started out with. You will get the hang of doing it just keep trying.

  8. You can't swim in my pool. thank you.

  9. Well the easiest way to put in a tampon is while sitting on an (open) toilet so your body is in the most relaxed position.

Also.. I just found this website that I think might help.

    Hope this helps!
