  1. Have just spoken to DEFRA in the UK and the Food Standards agency and they advised the following:-

    If it states "suitable for vegetarians / Made from vegetable extracts, then yes, you can bring it with you.  If however its states made from beef extract, then the answer is a definite NO!

    At worst, if you put a jar in your case, suitably protectively wrapped up and say nothing when coming thru customs etc at the airport, then you may get away with it.  If you get caught, you will have the jar confiscated, receive a telling off and depending upon the officers mood at that moment, receive a fine


  2. Why would you want to? We have our own marmite... live a little- try something new!

    I can't see why you wouldn't be allowed to- as long as it's sealed, and either less than 100ml (if in your hand luggage) or is packed in your main case.

  3. why would you want to carry Marmite half way round the world when you can get it here?
