Can i take a darvocet after I took a percocet

my doc prescribed both, but I don't know if I can take the together

  1. The biggest problem with taking these two together is the acetaminophen (Tylenol) content.  You do NOT want to take too much acetaminaphonen.  The recommended dosage of acetaminophen is no more than 4000mg in a 24 hour period.  Remember, there are a lot of other things out there that have Tylenol in them (things you may not realise have it in there).

    Percocet is (generally) a much stronger medication than Darvocet.  Darvocet contains the opiate propoxyphene and Percocet contains oxycodone.  They both contain acetaminophen.


  2. if it the same doctor who gave you both he should have advised you to either discontinue one and use the other or if no complications he would have also told you and if it were different doctors they usualy ask you if you were taking other medicine and depending on you answer he would have advised you ,call up your doctor and ask him

  3. I wouldn't. Call your Doctor who prescribed them and ask, that's the best thing to do.  

  4. read the bottle and call a pharmacist like Walgreen's
