Can i take a flask filled with spirits as a carry-on? is transporting this flask totally out of the question?

No, TSA(security) does not allow any liquids more than 3 ounces in carry on. Also all carry on liquids must be in a 1 quart Ziploc bag. Buy when you get there and Vegas is fun but expensive.
