Can i take a pillion my bike?

hi i need to be put on the strate and narrow here....

i have got a full motorcycle licence and i wanna take a pillion on the back off my bike . do i have to have pillion cover on my insurance to be alowed to do so. or can i just take a pillion anyway ?

  1. uk,yes you can take a passenger on the back,legally.


  2. Im pretty sure that pillion passenger insurance is compulsory and is included in your premium ( in the uk that is ) and has been for many years.

  6. I think you can but best to check insurance as that is the only thing stopping you if anything once you have past your test as car drivers can take passengers as soon as they have passed their test

  7. I have opted out of taking a pillion as it reduces my insurance premium. I obviously have a full license but can take a pillion on comprehensive cover as it covers a third party.. If I have to take a pillion, (emergency only) I inform my broker beforehand. Find out first by calling them and make any adjustments to the policy if necessary. It's best to be safe than sorry.
