  1. NO, in order to get custody you have to prove the current parent incompetent. At 16 tho he can file for unullment and take custody of himself but he has to meet the states standards.

  2. why would you want to that kinda makes you like his guardian his mom lol don't do it and yeah if it' that bad i can't see why not..

  3. No.  If he wants to be independent of his parents, he needs to go through the court system to seek emancipation.

  4. No. Unless his parents are unfit in some way, only then would he be taken out of his home and given to adults way more responsible than a single 18 year old that also happens to be dating him. Go ahead and try it to give everyone a laugh, though.

  5. Maybe it would be better for your bf to seek the status of emancipated minor.  That way you wouldn't be related, and he wouldn't need a guardian.

  6. Nope.  I'm sure this is just a silly question.

  7. can you take custody for me? I am 17 boy

  8. If you done that, you would be dating your son.

  9. Doubtful. A judge would have to agree to it. It would have to be an extraordinary situation to get it by a judge.

  10. I'll just add that at 16, your boyfriend may be eligible to become an 'emancipated minor'.  See the link below for laws regarding emancipation by state and for more information about what emancipation is & what is required.

This way you can keep him as a boyfriend and let him be responsible for himself!  LOL

    Good luck!

  11. no. you cant. unless:

    1) you are above 21

    2)you are financialy stable

3)both his parent die and no other ppl want to take care of him

4)you are willing to be ur boyfriend's gurdien.(which is kinda weird)

  12. Why do I hear that old song..."I'm my own Grandpa..."

I don't suppose there is any legal reason why you couldn't HOWEVER, you would need to pass all of the same criteria as an adoptive parent in any other case (assuming you mean adopt him at 18) and by the time you get that done...IF you can get that done, he would be 18 himself most likely and you would have already moved on to another boyfriend.

  13. Do you realize that you would be making your boyfriend your son?

Very creepy.  Not sure the of the reason for that, but if you do, you will not be able to marry or have any kind of sexual relationship with the boy.

  14. legally if you can afford it...realistically you will then have  a son!

  15. No

  16. probably not.  You need his parents or the courts permission to do this and I highly doubt anyone would allow this.

  17. i dont think you would want to do that unless you want to be dating your son (technically).. haha
