  1. No. Fertility drugs must be prescribed by a doctor, and you must be carefully monitored BY the doctor during treatment.

(In any case, without testing/physical exam you can't know what the problem might be, so you can't know what drugs or treatment would be appropriate.)

8 months is well within the normal range for 'trying'.  It takes most women 3-6 months to get preganant, and a small percentage of healthy, normal couples take 6-12 months or more.  So, unless you have specific reasons to suspsect a problem (absent or very erratic periods, history of endometriosis or STDS), most doctors would tell you to keep trying for a year before seeking treatment.  If you DO have reason to suspect a problem, see a doctor now.  He'll probably do some basic tests if nothing else.

  2. No, and you really shouldn't try.  Fertility drugs are not just magic pills that help you get pregnant.  It's very powerful stuff, and you need to be monitored closely while taking them.  Your ovaries can end up getting overstimulated, which can cause all kinds of problems, including permanently making you infertile.

I know eight months seems like a long time, but it really isn't.  It takes most couples on average a year or longer to conceive.  If you don't have any success after a year, then talk to your doctor about running some preliminary tests.  But don't assume that just jumping to fertility pills is the solution.  Fertility drugs like Clomid are designed to address specific issues with fertility, and frankly, you have no idea why it's taking you a while to conceive.  It might not even be anything to do with you--it could be your husband.  Or it may not be anything at all--it could just be that it hasn't been the right month for you yet.

  3. only 8 months?!? Bloody h**l.

I was TTC for 1.5 yrs by the time i got in to see a fertility doctor. And i had to wait 4 months of weight loss and getting healthy before he agreed to fertility drugs. And then i got pregnant without the drugs anyway, because he helped me get healthy and lose weight! I was TTC for 2 YEARS before i got pregnant.

Fertility drugs are quite serious, and can have drastic side effects. They are not safe to take without supervision.

And you shouldn't get pregnant till you learn to spell any way.

  4. i dont think so...why dont u want to go to the doctor

  5. Did you know that 1 in 6 couples have trouble conceiving? You really shouldn't be concerned unless you've been trying for at least 1 year. Then you definitely want to see your doctor. Self diagnosis is never a good idea. Fertility drugs are not like OTC meds. You can do serious damage to yourself without proper selection, dosage, and monitoring. Good Luck !
