Can i take food stuffs in my suitcase, when travelling to spain ?

  1. Why would you want to bring food to Spain. The food here is fresher and better than you'll find anywhere.

    As for herbs and spices, isn't that a bit like "coals to Newcastle".

    I live in Spain, I should know.


  2. No meat and only dried herbs and spices. Why I ask myself would you need to bring those items of food to Spain ?!!

    Spain has an excellent quality of meat and a great variety of herbs and spices on off in Spanish style central markets,supermarket and large commercial centers.

  3. Unless the meat is vaccumed packed and inspected by the us department of agriculture (most of the time) transfering meat or fruit of any kind to and from any country is prohibited (for health and saftey reasons). Call the border control for more information.  Rules for the US are a bit tougher than spain.
