  1. There is a fee for the GED on or off line.  However, there is a site where you can study the materials for the GED absolutely free; the link is below:

    http://ged.free-ed.net/free-ed/ged/

    I hope this is helpful.

  2. There is a fee attached to taking the GED on, or off line.

You can however take free practice tests on line.

The most inexpensive way to obtain a GED is to check with an alternative high school in your area, or a local community college.

  3. I don't think you can take the GED online. I think $100 is about what the test costs, unfortunetly. Do you have to take it? I was homeschooled and never liked the idea of taking it because I thought people might think it looks bad when it comes down to getting a job. You can usually get into college without one if you take the ACT/ SAT. You can make your own done or make your own. THen you'd just need highschool transcripts.

  4. You can contact your state dept of ed and they will likely have some method of discounting the fee for lower incomes but nothing I know of online is free. Sorry.

  5. You don't need to take a GED. Just start taking classes at a jr college.  They have to accept your homeschool diploma.
