  1. If you need a bike case they sell them at performancebike.com

  2. no

  3. You can bring it in.If it has soil on it it will get cleaned up at the airport.

  4. It IS true, they are extremely picky about potential pests.  Make sure that the bike is absolutely spotless, specially the wheels/tires.  Hose them yourself, brush them and make sure they are spotless as new.

  5. Hi this is no problem.  Customs will insist that it is cleaned.  If you have heavy tread on the tyres scrub them carefully with antiseptic solution (not bleach, obviously).

When you get to customs go to the "something to declare" line and tell them what steps you took to disinfect the tyres.  At worst, they will do it again themselves and you may have to come back to the airport to pick it up a bit later if they cannot manage this on the spot.

  6. It should not be a problem at all if you hose it down and dry it before you get on your flight.

Just in incase, arrive at the airport a few hours earlier so they can inspect it and hose it down themselves if needed.

Also, you may need to cover it with cardboard/a tarp/plastic bags, etc.
