The father of my son is not listed on the birth certificate as i do not wish to share custody or obtain child support off this person (abusive). I have not been served with any court papers yet demanding DNA testing so that he can establish custody as he has threatened to do and want to know if i can take my child oversea?. I am an Australian citizen living in Australia with family in New Zealand which is where i want to reside. The father is a New Zealand citizen also living in Australia, can he protest my decision to move to New Zealand even though he is not on the BC? As he is a New Zealander anyway does he have that right to prohibit me taking the baby out of Australia?

  1. If he's not in the list of ur Child BC, he got to right to bring ur Child unless after DNA test.

But meanwhile, ofcos you may bring ur Child with you to another country as long you got the Cert and the Passport got ur Child Infomation.

If ur Child is still young, you may have ur passport  made together with him/her as 1 passport.

    Cheer up Sister.

  2. The father of your son has no rights since he is not legally registered as a father.
