  1. It would depend on your state laws.

I cannot drive with my right leg either. I have a gas pedal extension on my car so I can drive with my left foot. I have a gas pedal on the left and the right side of my brake pedal. This is what I had to get for my state to be legal. I am in Pa. My license states that I have a left sided gas pedal as a medical restriction.

Check into your state rules before you take your test. They may not let you take your test with your left foot if you have to cross over the brake pedal to get to the gas pedal.

If you get the extension, make sure you buy it at a place that does medical modifications on vehicles so you know it is installed correctly.

  2. Its best to contact your local (DMV) office and ask them but if it helps in Texas you can take the driving test using your left leg after you have proved to the examiner that you can operate the vehicles correctly however they said that there might be some restrictions on your license but could not tell me what.

    Good luck.................
