  1. yes you can use your own car and you are quite correct all you need is another mirror for examiner L plates back and front the car you take must be a saloon hatchback or estate car 4x4 and suv vehicles are unacceptable so are cabriolets and soft tops you will also need with your a supervising driver both parts of you licence photocard and counterpart your letter of invitation your theory test pass and insurance certificate good luck with your test

  2. yes I've seen someone do it.

  3. yes

  4. As long as the car is fit for the purpose, you might have to show your insurance and mot certificate.

A rear view mirror must be supplied and the L plates properly displayed on the bodywork, not windows.  Make sure there is nothing hanging from the drivers rear view mirror, and that there is nothing on the back window, like stickers, signs.

I had a pupil who failed her test because her passenger seat belt was DIRTY.

  5. as long as your car is fit for the road it's not a problem.

My mate failed because it started to rain and her windscreen wipers weren't working!

  6. Yeah you can. My driving instructor told me I could if I wanted.

  7. YES you can.

  8. Yes you can use your own car, but personally I think that the examiner likes to see that you have been having lessons by a qualified driving instructor and to turn up in the car you have been use to driving which will have all the signs on it and duel controls.I think is much better. Mac

  9. yes - when I took my test my driving instructor made sure his car was unavilable so I ended up driving my car in the test (never driven it before it was parked up all the time) I passed at the first attempt! one in the eye for the driving instructor who was sat waiting in his car at the test station when I finished my test!

  10. yes loads of people do it good luck

  11. You are able to take the practical part driving test in your own car providing it is insured for you to drive (proof required), you will be asked to sign a declaration form to clarrify that the vehicle is insured. It must have an 'L' plate on the front, and one on the back, not attached to windows though. Magnetic is acceptable. Another mirror must be stuck onto the passengers side to enable the examiner to make their own observations, such as asking you to conduct the emergency stop, they will need to check that it is safe to do so.

  12. Yeah you can

  13. Yes you can, obviously it has to be fully road legal, you have to supply a second rear view mirror for the examiner (the suction type) and the L plates have to be correctly placed NOT in the windows.

No, you don't have to tell them what car you will be using but have a look at this site, it details the vehicle requirements.....

  14. as long as its a safe car, with no damage or defects it is possible to use your own car for the test. and no you dont need to inform them of this before time
