  1. Absolutely.  When they check to see if you are a winner, they do it one of two ways:

1 - There are little rectangular blocks towards the bottom of  your ticket that are unique to your ticket so they will just put the ticket in a machine, the machine scans those blocks and already knows whether or not you won (kind of like the SAT scantron sheets).

2 - Your lottery ticket is assigned a number.  They can just punch in that number and will automatically know whether or not your ticket is a winner.

Ultimately, you can completely scribble over your numbers and it won't make the slightest bit of difference if you need to cash the ticket in for all of your winnings.  GOOD LUCK!!!

  2. You can mark the ticket. Just dont mess with the barcode. That is how they tell if you won.

  3. Hi,

Yes, you can tick (mark) off the numbers on your lottery ticket.

The important thing to not mess up is either the:

    1) barcode (on the bottom of the ticket)

    2) lottery confirmation number (usually just on top of the barcode)

If you have either of these untouched, then you will be able to cash in your lottery ticket in any place in your state (or country).

    Best of luck!
