Can i tow a car away without any signs?

Im the owner of the building and this unit has parked in someone else's parking spot ALL THE TIME....can I tow them away...I dont have any signs saying not to park there, but they know they arent supposed too

  1. probably best not, unless they have signed something saying they know about your parking policy.  I would first post some signs and issue some warnings to the violator, and if they still park wherever they want then tow them.


  2. your first step would be to give them a written warning, stating that if it happens again, you will tow them.

    then the next time get them towed.

    in the future, add a clause about the parking in your leases and such.  it also wouldn't be a bad idea to have each person sign off on this when they renew their lease, that way they're all updated within a year.

    In Florida, it would be legal because, I presume, you have contacted this person and explicitly told them that the spot they are parking in is reserved for someone else.  

    I doubt the law is much different anywhere else, because this seems pretty common-sense.
