  1. As long as you know which Regiment or Corps they served in, yes.  Get in touch with the Regt/Corps secretary HQ or magazine and they should have at least some details of their service history.

  3. Remember that many such records are considered private and not public knowledge.  

    These type of records are usually accessible only to the individual or next of kin.  An exception may be applicable if they can be obtained by/through the Freedom of Information Act.
