Can i track an item i mailed at the post office even if i did buy a tracking number?..i still have the receipt

i mailed it at the post office and i did not get a tracking number and i mailed it priority and the recepient has recieved it yet..is there a way to track or recover the item thru my reciept..please help me..

No.  If you didn't purchase a mail service that includes tracking, the post office cannot track the package.
