Can i transfer my online high school credits to a regular public high school?

  1. I home school all of my children online and yes you can not only transfer them but you can get a regular diploma and go to college with it


  2. If the online school is accredited, probably.  If it's not accredited, forget it.

  3. depends on the school.  most of the time if they give you credits it will usually be partial credits, not everything you have taken on line.  check with the school.

  4. Usually.  Each school has its own distribution of courses required for graduation.  These are often dictated by the state minimum course of study where you are living, which may be different than the state from which the online courses are originating.

    For example, most require 4 years of English, with concentrations in American Lit, English Lit, Writing Strategies, Shakespeare, etc.  If the courses you took are comparable, they will often accept them based on the official syllabus and your grade.  Some schools require you to prove you learned the subject by taking a test.  

    If you took 20 math and science courses, they might accept the all the credits, but still require you to take some local history or language credits to graduate.
