It depends on the crime of course because some states don't allow s*x offenders (if that applies to you).  Usually though, if you have lawful plans to move to a specific city in Texas then you need to notify your p.o. and ask for permission.  If the p.o. won't agree, then get an attorney and petition the court.

It also costs $75 for the probation officer to even send the request.  You can talk to your PO and they will be able to determine if you would qualify for a transfer.
