  1. There is no travel document designed for travel inside the U.S. Whatever you use to walk around CA, you can use to walk around NY and points in between.

  2. no my friend u might be on the list.

if your not white they will check u r id and stuff

  3. They are not enforcing immigration anyway, so you can travel from California to New York without any documentation.

You only need documentation if you leave the country (and need to return), if you wish to work or if you are caught by police doing something illegal (other than immigration).

  4. Any non-citizen is required to keep their documentation on them at all times.  If your tourist visa is still valid, you can board a plane by showing your passport and valid visa as your ID.  As long as your documentation is valid, you have no problems traveling within the US.

If your tourist visa has expired, you are not legally present, and you are subject to arrest, detention, deportation and bar to re-entry at any time.  ICE is at airports and other transportation hubs; since you do not have appropriate identification, you are subject to arrest, etc.  If you are here illegally, you must depart the US immediately.  If you leave immediately and voluntarily, you may get a shorter bar to re-entry than if you are deported.

  5. I'd carry some form of ID at all times: passport and /or driving licence. Anything with a photograph.

I got asked for ID before going into a bar in Florida and I'm well over 21 and look it!

  6. Travel by road, you don't need any thing.

By air you require the passport. with a valid visa.

  7. A passport. That's all you need to get in really. You don't need a document to travel within the U.S.

  8. If your tourist visa is still valid, you can travel.  If it has expired, you can't legally stay in the country, so moving and/or traveling would be problematic.

  9. Not 100% sure on immigration laws or if you have any restrictions, but if you have the money and a way to get there, then yes. The only time you would not, would be if you were an exconvict on parole or if you have some other legal issue, otherwise you do not need permission to travel or move in the USA.

  10. If your visa is not expired you are free to travel within the USA.  You do not need "documents" to travel within the USA.  You do need to have a valid indentification document such as a passport or a drivers liscense from a US State if asked by any police officer or federal agent.   If your visa is expired you can be held and deported back to El Salvador if you are stopped questioned by authorities for any reason.

  11. You typically don't need documents to travel between states, but you will want your documentation with you just in case.

However, you might have a much bigger problem. If you came to the US on a tourist visa, and decided to stay and are now illegally in the US on an expired visa, then you need to speak to an immigration attorney; as you're now an illegal and will likely be deported and barred from entering the united states for several years, or forever, depending on the situation.
