Can i travel on train in the US with my mexican passport ?

Well me and my mother want to travel on train to new york and we live in virginia we wanted to know if we could travel on train with her mexican passport that's the only on date thing she has right now so i just wanted to know if we could use that ?

Yes.  Trains often do not even ask for i.D., but they are beginning to.  Her Mexican passport is an excellent form of I.D.
