Can i travel to france if i have a police warrant?

will i beable to travel either by train or ferry to france if i have a police warrant for non payment of council tax.

obviously the police may be looking for me but will it hinder me travelling?

  1. Believe me, you don't want to get arrested by the French Surete'. Pay the warrant and get it quashed before you travel. Otherwise you could spend weeks or even months in a French jail... and believe me that ain't fun!!


  2. There is no such thing as a police warrant for non payment of council tax, payment of the tax or otherwise has nothing whatever to with the police.

  3. I would not because French immigration officers will find out while checking your passport electronically. Deal with your legal issue before taking off. After 9/11 everything has changed.

    At the french border, they can see you have a warrant and can arrest you
