  1. I wouldnt trust anything. By the way you're explaining it, it sounds like a scam..

  2. if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

  3. were did they get your info from are they ligit = S C A M !

  4. Actually it is legit. I got an invitation too and I know people who have gone and they LOVED it!!! They dont tell you a price until the meeting because it is alittle pricey. (They dont want to scare you away so fast lol) Depending on where you go it will cost around $3000 - $6000... So if you have the money go ahead and go, its a great oppertunity! I have friends and they got college credit. Email me if you need more info!

  5. When you don't get anymore answers, I have just asked questions about it as well. Maybe you can look at some of the answers on my page. I don't think it's a scam, but I'm guessing its really expensive.

  6. Eh, sounds to sketchy.

I know a lot of people have gone with it before. But you can find wayyyy cheaper summer programs with these organizations, plus they are more reputable.

Rotary is a good program. If you want to find a website for it you need to search something like this: "Los Angeles California Rotary" but replacing it with where you live. Then email someone on there and tell them your interested in the Youth Exchange.

    Here are some other websites:

    http://www.yfu-usa.org/

    http://www.asse.com/United_States/index....

And here is a forum with exchange students, it's really helpful.

  7. It is a reputable program but it is basically an expensive study trip abroad. It is a student travel group with teachers as chaperones. It is a bit more expensive than other similar groups. I teach and a couple of teachers at my school do this. I have taken groups with ACIS and Passports.

Oh and they get names from all sorts of honors type lists.
