Can i trust this seller?

i got an offer to buy phones for cheap price..for ex,nokia e90 is just 270usd..but the seller is in uk and he asked me to pay via paypal/western union..so can i trust him?he said he need 5/6 days to confirm the payment if i pay via paypal..so what should i do?i dont really trust western union..and if i use paypal and the seller did not send the phone,what can i do?if i report to paypal,will paypal refund me?i'm from malaysia..

  1. PayPal is pretty good at refunding money from bad purchases, and tracking down those who fraud.  

    I would check the sellers rating, and if it looks like they have some history, I would use PayPal.  You can do it with a checking account.

    It is a pain in the butt to set up, but there are reasons for that.


  2. PayPal is great for refunding you if money gets confusing, but becareful because there are a lot of scammers and frauds out there. But sometimes it's not too bad. As for once my dad bought a laptop from a scammer, he paid for it but it never came. It turns out that the scammer got arrested, sent the money back to my dad and we got a free laptop! But seriously, you have to be careful.

  3. Never pay western union. If you are buying through ebay, they don't even allow payment through western union anymore because of so many people get ripped off. Paypal is safe and secure and has up to $2000 in buyers protection. And if this guy does end up ripping you off you don't have to worry about it paypal will get your money back. Also paypal will freeze his account and all kinds of good stuff.
