i picked some up from my work today (hairdressers) because i heard it does wonders for whitening your teeth! i decided to pick up the 6% bottle rather than the 9% because it sounds less harsh on my gums?

someone tell me if its safe to use or if i need to dilute it down somewhat...

it would also be handy if you told me exactly what to do, like do i brush my teeth with it or use it as a mouthwash replacement?

  1. yes you can my mom and i use it. you just have to mix it with a capfull of water.

  2. I used to use hydrogen peroxide until I told my Dentist and he said it wears your enamel down on your teeth. I stopped using it.

  3. =S

  4. The Black Book of Hollywood Secrets recommends using straight food grade peroxide to rinse your teeth, for a quick and effective whitening.  They emphasize that is should NOT be swallowed.

    They claim that celebrities do this for a bright, white smile before big events.

    I've also heard that wetting your toothbrush with peroxide and then brushing it across your teeth will help whiten the discoloring in nooks and crannies.

    Stop if you experience irritation.  We all have different levels of sensitivity.

    I'm going to give it a shot.

  5. I was told that mixing peroxide and baking soda does the job, I tried it for 3 days in a row, it did whitened my teeth but my gums started to bleed. Now i do it 3 times weekly and my gums don't suffer anymore
