Can i use a 2007 GSXR 1000 tank on my 2005 GSXR 750? Safely*?

I purchased a fairing/gas tank set from an online retailer. I received genuine suzuki parts, just not specifically for my bike. I own a 2005 Suzuki GSXR750 and was assured those would be the parts i would receive. The gas tank is marked as 2007 GSXR 1000. I know a lot of the parts are interchangeable to a certain degree.

As long as it fits correctly and there is no problems with

connecting the fuel line to the bike then you should be ok.
