  1. i wouldnt,  most air fresheners are toxic to birds, check out http://www.parrotcentral.net/list_of_tox... for a huge list of toxins that affect birds

  2. No you cant use things like that. I suggest keeping them CLEAN enough so they dont smell. Try cleaning their cage up once a week and making sure the water is fresh daily to keep all the smell away. I have raised birds for 20 yrs and never have a problem with smell because I keep them clean daily. I do how ever use those febreeze scented disc air freshener machines in my bird room or you can use those air wick auto sprayers.

  3. Don't use air fresheners in your aviary!!!

Your birds will not smell unless they are not kept in clean conditions,as birds are very clean.

You can always use a Disinfectant in your aviary but dilute it first to a weak solution then spray but first fasten your birds in or out which ever area you are spraying and leave for at least 15 mins.before returning them to their area.

Gav what species have you got.?????

  4. NO. Air freshners and all aeresols are toxic to birds. Try using p**p off wipes to clean they are bird safe and leave behind a clean fragrance. Not as nice as lavender or anything but better than the smell. The p**p off will clean and disinfect areas.

  5. No, because toxins and chemicals in the air freshener can harm birds, which would otherwise be harmless to humans.  Air fresheners have been proven to cause cancer; most likely, scientists tested this by exposing birds and other animals to air fresheners.  This proves that air fresheners are harmful to your bird's health.

    Best,

  6. try a dish of baking soda. non-toxic
